Emergency Medical Technician Course (EMT) - HYBRID COURSE

WHEN:

8/17/2017 - 12/14/2017 - Every Thursday 6PM - 10PM & ONLINE

WHERE:

Western Albemarle Rescue Squad Training Annex (1265 Crozet Ave; Crozet VA 22932)

COST:

$450.00 per person (Free for County of Albemarle Fire/Rescue Volunteers)

 

PREREQUISITES:

- Must be 16 years of age on or before August 17th, 2017 (Anyone under 18 must have signed parental permission slip)

- Have a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card as required by the Virginia Office of EMS

- Able to perform physical tasks as outlined by Virginia Office of EMS

- Able to pass background screening as outlined by Virginia Office of EMS

 

IMPORTANT:

This class is a hybrid course. Class will meet in person once weekly for skills practice at the WARS Training Building. Students will be expected to complete the bulk of the didactic material for this course in an online environment. The class will meet once per month to review pertinent lecture information. Students should expect to spend 5-10 hours per week in addition to the weekly practical sessions. A valid Healthcare Provider CPR card is REQUIRED the first night of class.
